Pakistanis had held 1040 Indian fishermen in last 3 years: Chudasma

Gandhinagar, Mar 1 (UNI) Pakistani Coast Guards have, in the last three years, apprehended as many as 1040 Indian fishermen, while they were fishing in the deep sea, state Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma today revealed in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. In a reply to a written question from BJP MLA Pradeepsinh Jadeja during Question Hour, Mr Chudasma said with the state government seeking Centre's help, as many as 867 fishermen were released by the Pakistani authorities.

In reply to another supplementary, the minister said families of these fishermen were given assistance of Rs 1.11 crore.

Imphal, Mar 1 (UNI) Altogether 23,176 students will appear for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination and 14,529 students of Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination which begins on March 12 and 9 next. The Board of Secondary School Manipur(BSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur(CHSEM) sources today said the HSLC examination will be held in 80 centres, including 54 private schools and CHSEM will be conducted in 51 centres. RJD stages dharna in Lower House well
