One policeman killed, 7 others injured in UP road mishap

Hathras, Mar 1 (UNI) At least one policeman was killed and seven others grievously injured in a road accident in this district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Police said the mishap occurred near Hathras junction, when the driver of an jeep lost control over the wheels.

Sub-inspector Samar Singh died on the spot, while seven persons, including five cops and two history-sheeters, were rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Akalis not impressed with agri concessions in Budget

Kozhikode, Mar 1 (UNI) The Co-operative banks and other societies in Kerala will introduce a separate vigilance and audit wings to streamline their operations soon, State Co-operation Minister G Sudhakaran said today.
