Nipuna opens fourth BPO facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (UNI) Nipuna Services Ltd., Satyam's BPO subsidiary, today announced the establishment of its fourth Business Process Outsourcing facility at the K Pahela MindSpace IT Park here, the biggest of all its facilities.

The 87,000-square feet facility will provide integrated services delivery across industries and processes.

''The newly-developed centre will be the biggest delivery centre for Nipuna across all facilities. It has a current capacity of 1730 seats, capable of operating across 3 shifts, and is designed for scalability.'' It is also Nipuna's sixth facility in India. Nipuna currently has delivery facilities in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai that cater to 30 global clients, the company said in a release here.

Sensex plunges by 273.42 pts, to end below 13,000 mark

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) The Sensex today plunged by 273.42 points below the psychological 13,000 level on the Bombay Stock Exchange to close in the red at 12,886.13 after most European markets registered a downward trend. A sell-off gripped the market in late trading, as Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) nose-dived and so did IT scrips, cement, banks and telecom shares. Earlier, the Sensex had resumed low at 13,139.10, registering the day's high at 13,254.03 and the day's low.....

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) Spot Gold and Silver today crashed on bearish global advices in the closing session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said. Following are the closing rates of Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,950 (20,520), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,525 (9,680), Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 9,575 (9,730).
