Agartala, Mar 1 (UNI) In a sudden development, the Left Front government has appointed IPS officer KTD Singh as the Director General of Police (DGP) in Tripura, replacing G M Srivastava who is set to join Asom police on March 2.

The decision was taken after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) yesterday declined to grant Mr Singh further extension.
