Hyundai records 74% increase in domestic sales in Feb

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today registered a 74 per cent increase in its domestic vehicle sales over February 2006.

The car manufacturer sold 15,459 units for the month of February 2007 in the domestic market and exported 9,567 units in the month.

Its flagship model Santro posted a growth of 118 per cent as it recorded a sale of 11,811 units as compared to 5,407 vehicles in February 2006. Also on the exports front, Santro saw an increase of 12.7 per cent from 8,484 units in February 2006 to 9,559 units in February 2007.

GM February sales up by 81 pc

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) General Motors has registered an 81 per cent growth in its February sales at 3,087 units as against 1,709 units during the corresponding period last year. The sales comprise of 1,801 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 1,085 units of Chevrolet Aveo/U-VA and 201 units of Chevrolet Optra. General Motors Halol facility in Gujarat is undergoing expansion to enhance its capacity to 85,000 units to cater to the increased market demand for Chevrolet brand of vehicles.....

Nipuna opens fourth BPO facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (UNI) Nipuna Services Ltd., Satyam's BPO subsidiary, today announced the establishment of its fourth Business Process Outsourcing facility at the K Pahela MindSpace IT Park here, the biggest of all its facilities. The 87,000-square feet facility will provide integrated services delivery across industries and processes. ''The newly-developed centre will be the biggest delivery centre for Nipuna across all facilities. It has a current capacity of 1730 seats, capable of operating across 3 shifts, and is designed for scalability.''.....

Inflation for week ended Feb 17 stands at 6.05 per cent

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) Inflation for week ending February 17 stands at 6.05 percent compared to 6.63 percent in the previous week, an RBI statement here said today. Market analysts said the marginal drop in inflation can be attributed mainly to the cut in petrol and diesel prices and essential food products. ''Though wholesale prices-based inflation moderated quite a bit during the week, it was still way above the 5.5 per cent level desired by the Central Bank for this.....
