Hindalco BoD to meet tomorrow for preferential share issue

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) The Board of country's largest aluminium producer Hindalco Industries Ltd will meet tomorrow to consider a preferential issue of equity shares or equity linked instruments.

This is basically to fund the Novelis deal as the company announced on February 11 its plans to acquire Novelis for 5.9 billion dollars, a statement said.

Ludhiana, Mar 1 (UNI) The Punjab Agricultural University here has stressed that it was very important that good quality fungicides be sprayed at the seed crop of wheat at heading stage. The experts of the PAU, in an advisory to the farmers, have recommended spraying of pesticides like Tilt in a proportion of 200 ml in 160 ltr water per acre to save it from diseases at the nascent stage. Railways records 57,000 online bookings on a single day

Mumbai, Mar 3 (UNI) The Railways created a record of sorts by selling 57,000 tickets online and collecting maximum earnings on a single day on March 1. A Western Railway (WR) release here today said the booking was most likely the single largest transaction on the internet by any organisation in India on a single day.
