HERA plans to develop skilled manpower: Tharyan

Coimbatore, Mar 1 (UNI) The Hospitality Educators and Recruitors Association (HERA) will bring the catering technology educational institutions and hotel industry together for developing skilled employees for the hospitality industry, Residency Group Chief Executive Officer K C Tharyan said today.

Inaugurating the national conference on 'Changing Trends in Human Resource Practices', organised jointly by HERA and VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science here, he said job opportunities in the hospitality sector had increased manifold and the demand for skilled employees was high.

He said HERA would come out with a curriculum exclusively designed for today's industry need.

The demand for Indian students in the hospitality sector abroad was very high, he added.

Two electrocuted in Aurangabad

DoNER earmarks Rs 65.46 cr for social sector projects in Meghalaya

Shillong, Mar 3(UNI) The Union Ministry for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has earmarked Rs. 65.46 crore to fund social sector projects under the non-lapseable central pool of Resources (NLCPR) in Meghalaya.
