BT appoints Shiva Singh as MD, S East Asia

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) British Telecom (BT) today announced the appointment of Mr Shiva Singh as managing director for the company's Southeast Asia operations, based in Singapore.

Mr Singh will oversee all sales and operations, as well as the delivery of the BT strategy and promote the company's presence and services in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.

He will also manage relationships with in-country partners and hold responsibility for customer satisfaction at all levels.

Prior to this, Mr Singh was with Motorola where he held various leadership and business development positions for the past 11 years.

Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, March 1 (UNI) The Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) here has bagged Rs 550 crore worth order from Defence Ministry and Border Security Force (BSF) for supply of Hand Held Thermal Imagers. KGA Group to invest Rs 600 crore in Kerala

Kochi, Mar 1 (UNI) The Kuwait-based KGA Group of companies will set up a Rs 220-crore business hotel here and will pump in Rs 600 crore to venture into hospitality and tourism sectors in Kerala. Mahindra's tractor registers 7 per cent growth

Chennai, Mar 1 (UNI) The tractor manufacturing division of Mahindra and Mahindra, has posted a growth of seven per cent in February compared to coresponding period last year. The total sales volumes for the month stood at 7003 including exports, which was about five per cent high over the last fiscal, a company release here said today. Hutch launches billing services in 10 languages

Chennai, Mar 1 (UNI) Telecom major Hutch today launched billing services in Tamil, along with nine other languages. This is yet another first from the company, aimed at providing more customer friendly billing services. A company statement said here that Hutch customers could now receive their bills in ten different languages -- Tamil, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and Malayalam. Hutch customers could call the Hutch Care Helpline 111 and request for bills in Tamil.....
