BMW, Bajaj Allianz in motor insurance pact

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Auto major BMW India and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance today entered into an cooperation agreement for offering motor insurance to customers across the country.

BMW customers will now avail a range of insurance products from BMW Financial Services offered by Bajaj Allianz.

''The products and services offered will be a part of BMW Financial Services,'' BMW India President Peter Kronschnabl said.

The financial services will be offered to customers through the BMW dealership network and Direct Sales Agency's (DSA'S) network of Bajaj Allianz pan-India.

Bajaj Allianz Chief Executive Officer, Kamesh Goyal, said: ''With this cooperation agreement, Bajaj Allianz will provide motor insurance products and viable motor insurance services to BMW Group customers.'' A unique cashless facility for genuine spares and quality repairs will also be provided under the exclusive agreement.

An instant policy issuance at all dealership locations and a 24X7 help-line to offer assistance towards claims, and other queries will be set up at Bajaj Allianz for BMW customers.

Bajaj Allianz will also provide premium customer services like SMS alerts and online tracking of claims status for BMW customers, the first ever created for any premium car brand in India.

Hyundai announces rise in car prices due to education cess

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India Ltd, India's second largest car manufacturing company, today confirmed that it will hike prices of its cars across all variants, because of the one per cent additional education cess announced in the Union Budget yesterday. Hyundai records 74% increase in domestic sales in Feb

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today registered a 74 per cent increase in its domestic vehicle sales over February 2006. The car manufacturer sold 15,459 units for the month of February 2007 in the domestic market and exported 9,567 units in the month. Its flagship model Santro posted a growth of 118 per cent as it recorded a sale of 11,811 units as compared to 5,407 vehicles in February 2006. Also on the exports front,.....
