Bharat Nirman at Wyra from March 3

Vijayawada, Mar 1 (UNI) The 'Bharat Nirman', a public information campaign, jointly organised by Press Information Bureau (PIB) and other media units, will be held at Wyra from March 3 to 7.

An official release here today said in this campaign, various central and state government departments, and public sector undertakings would come together and explain the activities to the common man and serve the people on the spot.

Union Minister of State (independent charge) for Women and Child Welfare Mrs Renuka Choudhary will be the chief guest, the release added.

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today invited Norway to make investments in infrastructure projects in the state. Job oriented courses in anvil in Puducherry

Puducherry, Mar 1 (UNI) The Puducherry administration is contemplating to introduce job-oriented courses in higher educational institutions soon, Minister for Education M O H F Shajahan said here today. Participating in the ''Bharat Nirman'' function organsied by the PIB, Chennai here, he said the Centre had introduced the 'Sarvasiksha Abhiyan' scheme to educate all. Major fire at plastic unit

Kochi, Mar 1 (UNI) A major fire broke out at a plastic reprocessing unit damaging property worth lakhs in Aluva near here. According to the District Fire Official, the fire broke out at Sahala Polymers at 1815 hrs. Firetenders doused the flames after one hour. However, there were no reports of casualties. Rs 440 cr Central aid for court modernisation: Minister

Coimbatore, Mar 1 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Law and Justice K Venkatapathy today said the Centre had allocated Rs 440 crore for modernisation of sub-ordinate courts in the country.
