10 kg heroin seized in Punjab

Amritsar, Mar 1 (UNI) The Special Narcotics Cell of the Punjab Police today seized 10 kg heroin worth Rs 10 crore in the international market this morning.

Giving details, Narcotics Cell SP Makhan Singh said that the seizure was made on the bases of intelligence outputs from near B-Division police station in the city.

Two persons, identified as Harpal Singh and Balwinder Singh, both of Thatha village had been arrested under the NDPS Act. Their third accomplice, Amlok Singh managed to give the slip to the police.

Court passes protection order under Domestic Violence Act

Dharamahala, Mar 1 (UNI) A local court here in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today passed ''protection order'' in favour of the victim who had registered the first case in the state under the Domestic Violence (Prevention) Act, 2005.
