Three injured in bomb explosion

Cuddalore, Feb 28 (UNI) Three people were seriously injured when a countrymade bomb exploded at Aalampadi in Ramanatham police limits in this district today.

According to police, two women set on fire a heap of garbage in the village when the bomb hidden in the waste exploded injuring Chitra (25), Sangeeta(30) and Kasi(24).

They were admitted to Vridachalam Government hospital.

Police suspect that the explosive might have been kept by the TNLA activists.

Two gangsters remanded to judicial custody

Mumbai, Mar 1 (UNI) A special court today remanded two suspected gangsters, owing allegiance to D K Rao gang, to judicial custody till March 14, for their alleged involvement in the murder of an undertrial robber near Sewri Court in June last year.
