Three from Rajasthan drown in Sharavati river

Shimoga, Karnataka, Feb 28 (UNI) Three youths hailing from Rajasthan drowned in the Sharavati river near the famous Jog Falls, about 140 km from here, today.

Police said 13 carpenters from the desert State had come to Ramachandrapuram Mutt on the banks of the river for work. Three of them went to the backwaters of the Linganamakki dam to take a bath when they fell into the deep waters and drowned.

The deceased were identified as Lakshman (18), Pawan Kumar (22) and Ganesh (23), police added.

Coimbatore, Feb 28 (UNI) The city-based Nehru college of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences here signed an MoU with Hochschule Bremen, University of Applied Sciences, Bremen in Germany today. The MoU was signed by the P K Das, Director of the Nehru College and German University Deputy vice chancellor Prof Dr Uwe.
