SCL delivers 5-lakh alloy wheels to Ford

Visakhapatnam, Feb 28 (UNI) The Synergies Castings Limited (SCL) today delivered five lakh alloy wheels to Germany for their Ford Mondeo model. SCL is the first Indian company in the auto component sector to deliver directly to a foreign company, amidst global competition.

According to Company spokesperson here, synergies was required to complete the design and development in six months compared to the normal time frame of 15 to 18 months.

The company manufactures painted and Chrome-plated alloy wheels to precision in various sizes and designs to suit the market all over the world.

Apart from Ford, SCL also supplies automobile majors GM, Toyota, Maruti, Tata Motors, Mitsubishi and Mahindra and Mahindra, among others.

Rajkot, Mar 1 (UNI) With 'swadeshi' concept, The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank (RNSB) today signed for mobile connections of bank's 2.5 lakh share holders. Addressing mediapersons here, the Chairman of the Bank Kalpak Maniar said, perhaps, for the first time in India, the co-operative bank has signed with BSNL for such connections with an aim to provide this facilities to their share holders in the region with Closed Used Group (CUG) facility on mass scale......

Select metals decline on poor demand

Mumbai, Mar 1 (UNI) Select metals declined on poor industrial demand traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today. In the ferrous category, copper heavy slashed by Rs 200 per quintal because of sustained heavy selling pressure. In the non-ferrous category, Copper wire bar eased by Rs 200 per quintal on increased offers by stockists and Zinc slab increased by Rs 200 per quintal on lesser stock supply. Tin slab also fell by Rs nine per kg on thin buying.....

Sugar up by Rs 20 in Kolhapur market

Kolhapur, Mar 1 (UNI) The prices of M 30 and S 30 grades of sugar were up by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 1,365/1,370 and Rs 1,355/1,360 per quintal, respectively. The rates in the Kolhapur gur market today ranged between Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,800 per quintal. Sensex recovers by 221.46 pts, closes firm at 13,159.55

Mumbai, Mar 1 (UNI) The Sensex recovered by 221.46 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange today and ended on a firm level at 13,159.55 points, buoyed by an upsurge in the US capital markets and recovery in key Indian ADRs. Among key Indian ADRs, HDFC Bank's ADR jumped 5 per cent to USD 66.36 and ICICI Bank's ADR rose almost 5 per cent to USD 38.36. Infosys' ADR gained 1.4 per cent to USD 54.26, while Tata Motors' ADR gained 2.5.....
