Man arrested with more than 9 kg charas

New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) In a snap search, police seized more than nine kg of charas and arrested a 35-year-old from Roshanara Park in North Delhi.

Islam, who had come to peddle the drug in the area, was arrested last evening follwoing a tip-off, police said today.

Charas powder, weighing 9.12 kg was seized from the possession of the accused who hailed from Moradabad (Uttar pradesh) and worked as a labourer at a brick kiln in Bhagalpur, Bihar.

On interrogation the father of four said poor economic condition drove him to switch to drug peddling.

Bailable warrant against ACP Delhi in Shramjivi blast case

CRPF officer among three killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 28 (UNI) A Sub inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and an employee of Power Development Department (PDD) have died in the Kashmir valley overnight, a police spokesman said. Sreekumar gets favourable CAT verdict on day of retirement

Ahmedabad, Feb 28 (UNI) The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) today maintained that the ''sealed cover'' procedure adopted by the state government for deciding the promotion of Additional Director General of Police R B Sreekumar did not hold ground.
