Headmaster arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Feb 28 (UNI) Bihar vigilance bureau today arrested a headmaster of Shivsagar Vidyamandir while he was accepting Rs 2000 as bribe in Vaishali district.

Additional director general of bureau Neelmani said headmaster Chandrama Singh was caught red handed while accepting cash from a newly appointed teacher Sanjeev Kumar.

Goldsmith robbed of Rs 15 lakh on bus

Hardoi, Feb 28 (UNI) A goldsmith was robbed of Rs 15 lakh by four youths aboard an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus here today. The incident took place near a community health centre in Sandila area, where the miscreants stopped the bus and snatched Rs 15 lakh and jewellery worth several lakhs from Sardar Awatar Singh, a native of Amritsar. Aged stoned to death

Lucknow, Feb 28 (UNI) An aged person was stoned to death today over a dispute in Gosaiganj area of the state capital. The dispute which was related to a land in Sarsavan village, soon turned violent and Puttilal Shukla was brutally murdered by four villagers. The miscreants also assaulted Shukla's son Rohit, who was rushed to a hospital in a severe condition. Meanwhile, one accused has been held and a search for others was on, police said. UNI.....
