Fake note racket busted, two held

Bangalore, Feb 28 (UNI) Police today busted a fake currency racket with the arrest of two persons, including an ex-serviceman, and confiscated fake currency worth Rs eight lakh.

City Crime Branch (CCB) police said the arrested persons were identified as Dorairaj and Babu, both belonging to the city. They used to make fake notes in the denomination of Rs 500 using computers and colour copying machines.

The kingpin of the racket who hailed from Kerala was at large, CCB Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravikante Gowda said.

Two gangsters remanded to judicial custody

Mumbai, Mar 1 (UNI) A special court today remanded two suspected gangsters, owing allegiance to D K Rao gang, to judicial custody till March 14, for their alleged involvement in the murder of an undertrial robber near Sewri Court in June last year.
