Bloeria committee report to be notified for public response

Jammu, Feb 28 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet today decided to notify immediately recommendations of the Bloreia Committee report for ''public objections or suggestions'' and to obtain response within ten days, an official statement said.

''a cabinet sub-committee will be constituted by the Chief Minister (Ghulam Nabi Azad) to go into the objections and suggestions, if any, and make recommendations to the Cabinet accordingly'' the statement said.

The cabinet also decided that the demands received for the creation of more sub-divisions, tehsils, during the course of interaction with public and their representatives would be referred to the Bloeria Committee for further examination and recommendations to the government within nine months.

The Cabinet also approved creation of staff as per norms for newly created eight districts, three sub-divisions and 12 tehsils which will be placed in position by March 15, so that newly created administrative units become operational towards the end of next month.

Union Budget a balanced one : ICCI

Kochi, Feb 28 (UNI) The Indian Chamber of Commerce&Industry today termed the Union Budget 2007-08 as a balanced one with thrust to agriculture with emphasis on rural development and relief to vital segments of the economy besides generating employment opportunities. In a statement here, Chamber President K Retnan said the Budget, which was presented by Finance Minister P Chidambaram, has also taken care of needs of sectors like health, education and infrastructure. The Chamber hoped that out of Rs.10,667 crore.....

Mixed reaction on budget in AP CII Chapter

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Andhra Pradesh Chapter today expressed 'happiness' for allocating more funds to education and Agriculture in the Union Budget 2007-08, presented by unioin Finance minister P Chaidamabaram, and took exception for inadequate allocations to infrastructre sectors. Speaking to newsmen here, CII AP chapter President G Vivekanand pointed out that the Finance minister has reduced the CST to four to three per cent even after the CII urged him to reduce to two.....

TRS forces adjournment of House on Krishna waters to city

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh assembly was adjourned for 15 minutes without taking up question hour as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) members sought a debate on their adjournment motion on completion of the third phase of Krishna waters to the twin cities and also diversion of Godavari waters. Soon after the House met for the day, Speaker K R Suresh Reddy said the adjournment motions given notice of by the TRS, TDP and the BJP on Krishna waters.....
