50 ill after having adulterated food

Siddharthnagar, Feb 28 (UNI) At least 50 people took seriously ill after allegedly consuming adulterated food in Muthwal block here.

The incident occurred late last night at a wedding ceremony in Ahrauli village, police said today.

The victims were later rushed to a hospital.

Meanwhile, the food sample has been sent for examination, they said.

Vijayawada, Feb 28 (UNI) Indian Council of Medical Research Director-General Prof N K Ganguly today said the country accounted for more than 20 per cent maternal and infant deaths. Canecharge on dalit wedding procession

Chhatarpur, MP, Mar 13 (UNI) Three police personnel, including a town inspector (TI), were suspended after a canecharge here on a dalit wedding procession where a high-decibel band was being played. Jabalpur, Mar 13 (UNI) A counsellor who was doused with kerosene and set ablaze on March 6 at the local Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital, by a patient who was refused medicine, has died during treatment in Delhi, hospital sources said.
