Three Additional Judges For MP, Orissa HCs

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) The appointment of three Additional Judges by President A P J Abdul Kalam was announced by the Law and Justice Ministry this evening.

Justices Sanjay Yadav and Kedar Singh Chauhan have been appointed Additional Judges of Madhya Pradesh High Court in that order of seniority, an announcement said.

Justice Kumari Sanju Panda has been appointed Additional Judge of Orissa HC, another announcement said.

All three appointments will be for two years with effect from the dates the judges assume charge of their respective office.

ISI agent sentenced to 14 years RI

Jamnagar, Feb 28 (UNI) A local court has sentenced an ISI agent, Mujib Anwar Raja Paniwala to 14 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) after being found guilty under the official secrets act. However, Additional Sessions Judge S K Pandey acquitted three other persons--Fakir Adam Husen, Usman Gani and Mohmmad Siddique, arrested in connection with the same case, under benefit of doubt. Police challenges Gawli's bail order in session court

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) The city police today challenged bail order of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli in the session court, which was earlier passed by the lower court in a fund misappropriation case. The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of city police had arrested Gawli for fund misappropriation of his union Akhil Bharatiya Sena (ABS). They said the fund was supposed to be distributed among the union members. Gawli had allegedly deposited Rs 85 lakh in his Shiv Shambu charitable trust instead.....
