Ten years RI for three in shoe loot case

Patna, Feb 27 (UNI) A local court today awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to three accused in connection with loot of truck load of shoes under Gardanibagh police station here on September 27, 2002.

Presiding officer of the fast track court K M Srivastav sentenced the three accused to imprisonment after they were found guilty in the case.

The accused had looted the shoes near women polytechnic when those were being transported from Digha to Kolkata.

Those sentenced were Kunal Chaudhary, Ashok Manjhi and Lamlesh Manjhi-all residents of Maulabagh locality in Patna.

Balurghat(West Bengal), Feb 27 (UNI) Altogether four people died after consuming spurious liquor today. Police said that three more persons are presently battling for their lives in the hospital.
