KHS AG, Germany signs MoU with Dharmsinh Desai University

Nadiad, Feb 27 (UNI) KHS AG, Germany today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) for students training programme at the company's plants in different countries.

Mr Valentine Reisgen, Chairman, KHS AG, Germany and Dr H M Desai, Vice Chancellor, Dharmsinh Desai University today signed the MoU.

According to terms of MoU, the engineering students of DDU will get an opportunity to go for training in KHS operations worldwide.

Mr Matternus Gemel and Mr Volker Till, Members, Board of Directors, Executive Board, KHS AG were also present. The programme will start from forthcoming academic year.

The MoU is first such initiative between University and Industry in Gujarat and perhaps in India. It also reflects the recognition of Indian talents in global arena.

KHS AG is a 100 percent owned subsidiary of Klockner-Werke AG.

As an internationally active manufacturer of filling and packaging equipment for the beverage, food and non-food industry, along with the factory in India, KHS AG has eight German production facilities as well as manufacturing plants abroad in Brazil (Sao paulo), U S A (Waukesha, Sarasota), Mexico (Zinacantepec), and China. In addition to these, KHS maintains more than 60 sales and service bases on all continents.

NMCE launches new series for futures trade in base metals

Ahmedabad, Feb 27 (UNI) Futures trading in new series of aluminum, copper, lead, nickel, tin and zinc would begin on March one at the National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE). The new series will expire on May 31, a release issued here today said. Rupee opens flat at 44.21/22 against USD

Mumbai, Feb 27 (UNI) The Rupee today closed steady at 44.21/22 per US dollar against 44.20/21, the previous day's close, on scattered demand of dollar by foreign banks. The Indian Rupee was steady against the dollar on Tuesday with gains from capital inflows blocked by scattered Central Bank intervention in a bid to protect exporters' competitiveness, traders said.
