Four people killed in accident

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 27 (UNI) Four labourers were killed and three critically injured when the lorry, in which they were travelling overturned near Nallapadu village in this district today.

Police said the stone-laden lorry from Kilasagiri was on its way here when the accident occurred.

The injured were admitted to the Government hospital here.

Hyderabad, Feb 27 (UNI) Criticising the state budget, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today demanded that the money earned through sale of lands in Telangana be spent only on the region. HC orders suspension of cop over laxity in gangrape case

Allahabad, Feb 27 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has ordered suspension of an investigating officer (IO), besides departmental inquiry against him for ''extreme negligence'' in performance of duty and collusion with the accused in a gangrape case. University lecturer held for misbehaving with girl student

Varanasi, Feb 27 (UNI) A lecturer of the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKV) University here, who allegedly misbehaved with a girl student on February 21 was arrested today. Police said Gautam Chatarjee, a former scribe and lecturer at the Faculty of Performing Arts, MGKV was arrested for misbehaving with a Master of Music (M Mus) student on the varsity campus. The varsity had terminated his services last evening. The arrest comes close on the heels of yesterday's lathicharge by MGKV securitymen.....
