State Assembly Polls, Punjab updated results

ELECTION-PUNJAB-SULTANPUR-ELECTED-38 Upinderjit Kaur (SAD) was elected from Sultanpur defeating his nearest rival Navtej Singh (CONG) by a margin of 10871 vote. SAD retained seat.

ELECTION-PUNJAB-GARHSHANKAR-ELECTED-39 Luv Kumar Goldy (Congress) was elected to the Punjab assembly from Garhshankar defeating his nearest rival Mohinder Pal Mann (SAD) by a margin of 4068 votes. Congress retained the seat.

ELECTION-PUNJAB -MAJITHA-ELECTED-35 Bikramjit Singh Majitha (SAD) was elected from Majitha dfeating his nearest rival Sukhjinder Singh Lalli Congress by a margin of 23008 votes. SAD annexed Congress held seat

ELECTION-PUNJAB-JALANDHAR CANTT-ELECTED-34 (KEY) Jagbir Singh Brar (SAD) was elected from Jalandhar Cannt defeating his nearest rival Gurkanwal Kaur Congress by a margin of 16975 votes. SAD annexed Congress held seat.

ELECTION-PUNJAB- MANSA-ELECTED-37 Sher Singh (Cong) was elected from Mansa defeating his nearest rival Sukhwinder Singh (SAD) by a margin of 2746 votes. Congress wrests the seat from (Ind).

Sydney: Swimming stars Susie O'Neill of Australia and Alexander Popov of Russia were elected to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Saturday.Popov and O'Neill were among a group of eight athletes to join the IOC.
