Boy killed in fire mishap at Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, Feb 27: A child was burnt alive and his mother sustained serious burn injuries after a raging inferno broke out in their house here on Sunday, police said.

The mishap occurred in Katihar Tola under Jhangha police station area, where a house accidentally caught fire and Vimla and her son Virendra got trapped inside it.

By the time nearby people came to their rescue, Virendra had already died.

The injured was rushed to hospital, where her condition was stated to be serious, police said yesterday.

Moscow, Dec.6 (ANI): A Georgian woman has claimed that she is Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's real mother.Vera Putina, 82, has claimed that Vladmir is the child she gave away at the age of ten, giving an account of an unhappy childhood, which is fiercely disputed by the Kremlin. The Telegraph reports that Vera Putina lives hand-to-mouth in rural Georgia. Her house sits on a dirt track in the village of Metekhi, about 12 miles from Gori that was occupied.....
