Bose India launches Companion 5 multimedia speaker system

Mumbai, Feb 27 (UNI) Bose has introduced the Companion 5 multimedia speaker system for computer users who enjoy movies, music and games.

Priced at Rs 21,900, the new speaker system based on the TrueSpace technology will be available at all the 12 Bose retail stores located in some of the metro cities of the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad, a company spokesperson informed in a press meet here today.

The company has also updated the Companion 3 and Companion multimedia speaker systems.

The companion 3 system, designed for premium stereo performance, comes with newly designed speakers now pre-positioned on stands with a price tag of Rs 14,000. The Companion 2 system, offering a simple yet high-quality speaker upgrade for computers or portable players, has also been refreshed with a new speaker design.

With simple USB connection, the system turns the computer into a complete entertainment hub, delivering today's multi-channel audio content from just two visible speakers and a hideway Acousticmass module, the spokesperson said.

Interestingly, the new system doesn't require any software installation, sound card upgrade adaptors or even complicated wiring for set-up.

Mumbai, Feb 27 (UNI) Brass cutting and nickel rose on better industrial demand as the London Metal Exchange rose, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today. Diageo-Radico mull launching premium and semi-premium brands

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) Premium drinks maker Diageo Radico Distilleries Pvt Ltd today said it is contemplating the launch of high quality brands in the premium and semi-premium brown spirits category. The JV between Diageo and Radico Khaitan Ltd will focus on brown spirits but will look at other categories within the Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) segment subsequently, company Joint Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan told reporters while launching Diageo Radico's new premium whiskies. Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) The BSE sensex today crashed by around 325 points and quoted a low at 13,045.12 against 13,478.83 on the previous day's close on sustained heavy selling pressure by local operators.
