Australian Business delegation meets FAPCCI

Hyderabad, Feb 27 (UNI) The Australian Business Delegation today met the members of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FAPCCI) and discussed various matters including the business promotion on both sides.

The delegation led by Chief Executive Officer, Australian Trade Commission, Peter O'Byrne, and Senior Trade Commissioner, South Asia, Mike Moignard held discussions with the members of the Federation on business promotion and business visits on both sides.

The FAPCCI President Sudhir Sanghi said India was the sixth trading partner with Australia and trade with Andhra Pradesh primarily was on coal and education.

Mr Sanghi said Andhra Pradesh, especially Hyderabad had unique advanages of location, talent pool, competitive manufacturing, good connectivity and proximity to Australia with good port and international airport.

He urged the Australian Trade Commission to encourage and strive to increase business visits to the state for projecting Australian capabilities and also explore business opportunities.

He also urged them to request the Australian Government to have a direct flight from Hyderabad to Sydney.

Rupee opens low at 44.33/35 against USD
