ABA filed by film producer Gaurang Doshi on assault case

Mumbai, Feb 27 (UNI) A local court today adjourned till March two the hearing on an Anticipatory Bail Application (ABA) filed by film producer Gaurang Doshi fearing his arrest on an assault complaint lodged against him by a struggling actress Flora Saini on Valentine day.

The matter came up for hearing before Additional Session Court Judge P V Bavkar this morning, who adjourned it till March two as the police failed to file the report in the court on the said application.

The Judge has asked the investigating agency to file the report on next date of hearing.

Ms Saini had filed a complaint with Varsova police alleging that Doshi had assaulted her on Valentine day, on which Mr Doshi had filed ABA fearing his arrest.

Now matter would be heard on March two.

R R Patil and Jayant Patil welcome budget

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) Maharashtra deputy chief minister R R Patil and Finance minister Jayant Patil today welcomed the Union Budget for its emphasis on the Agro sector. Accused gets 3 months RI for outraging modesty of married woman

Akola, Mar 1 (UNI) An ex-serviceman was today sentenced to three months rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 500 for outraging modesty of a married woman. The victim Mrs Vandana Gajanan sirsat, a resident of nearby village Mhaisang under Borgaon Manju police station in Akola district has not been supported by her husband Gajanan and mother-in-law who later turned hostile to the prosecution.
