Wanted dacoit lynched

Etawah, Feb 26 (UNI) A history-sheeter, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on his head, was lynched by villagers in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place under Ajitmal police station area last night, where hardened criminal Sonu fought with the villagers over a dispute. The fight soon turned violent and the villagers opened fire killing Sonu on the spot.

Sonu is said to be the right arm of the notorious dacoits Nirbhay and Saleem, police today said.

Over 12 cases of loot, murder and abduction were pending against the sain criminal.

Chitrakoot, Feb 26 (UNI) An inebriated Entertainment Tax officer was arrested for allegedly ''manhandling'' audience at a cinema hall in this district of Uttar Pradesh. Gurgaon, Haryana, Feb 26 (UNI) Police today caught the driver of the Indica car, which allegedly ferried the two girls from a restaurant here to the airport from where they were flown to the United States. Ujjain, MP, Feb 26 (UNI) An Ayurvedic physician and a woman were among three persons arrested on the charge of running a sex racket at a 'Yoga centre' in this ancient temple town.
