Temps dip, Rajasthan cool and pleasant

Jaipur, Feb 26 (UNI) Minimum temperatures in Rajasthan continue to remain below normal and are accompanied with cold winds, making the weather pleasant and cool.

According to Met office, no rains have been recorded over the past 24 hours in the state. The state capital recorded a high of 26 degree Celsius while the minimum was 12 degree.

The cool winds have made the Pink City pleasant although the sun was out in full force in a clear sky.

The temperatures are 1-2 degree Celsius below normal and is likely to dip a further 1 degree to hover around 11 degree Celsius tomorrow.

Barmer and Churu, however, recorded the maximum of 29 degree.

Barmer's minimum was 17 degree while Churu was cold at 14 degree Celsius.

Accodring to met office, Pilani and Ganganagar mapped 10 degree Udaipur 12, Bhilwara, Dholpur, Dabok and Churu 14, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jodhpur and Bikaner 15, Jaisalmer 16, Kota, Sawaimadhopur and Barmer 17 degree Celsius.

UP minister let off with reprimand in bounty case

16 injured in minibus accident

Jammu, Feb 26 (UNI) At least 16 people were injured in a minibus accident near Doda here today, police sources said. A minibus, going to Bhagwah from Doda skidded off the road while negotiating a turn at Golbagh, 10 Kms from Doda and fell into a deep gorge, the sources said. All the passengers were state government employees and were going to their respective offices, they said. J and K police arrest youth posing as militant

Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a youth who was indulging in extortion by posing as militant in north Kashmir. Complaints were being received by police that some gunmen were looting people in Bandipora area of north Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
