Student hangs himself to death in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 25 (UNI) A class XII student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at Kamini Nagrota, 14 km from here, police said today.

Reasons behind Javed Hussain, 21, taking the extreme step have not been established yet.

The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.

Nagpur, Feb 26 (UNI) The police have booked a BJP MLA Uttam Ingle for allegedly assaulting an official of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) in Yavatmal district in Maharashtra over the action initiated against a consumer for power theft. Palanpur, Feb 26 (UNI) a Policeman, attached to the city police station, was today arrested on charges of raping a minor girl at his residence in the police headquarters here.
