Six persons killed in road accident in Haryana

Jind, Feb 26 (UNI) Six persons including three women were killed and 24 others injured when the mini truck in which they were travelling dashed into a roadside tree near Kheri village in the district, police today said.

According to reports, the truck, carrying 60 persons returning from a marriage party, was on its way to Hanumangarh in Rajasthan from Saudapur village in Panipat district.

The driver of the truck lost control over the vehicle near Kheri village and it rammed into the tree leading to the death of six persons and injuries to 24 others late last night.

The injured were admitted to a local civil hospital. Twelve persons with serious injuries were refered to PGI, Rohtak.

The police have registered a case against the truck driver.
