Punjab Cabinet approves land transfer for Knowledge City

Chandigarh, Feb 26 (UNI) The Punjab Cabinet today approved the transfer of 400 acres of land in Mohali to the Union Government for the establishment of a Knowledge City.

This Knowledge City will comprise four institutions--- Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), National Institute of Nano-technology, National Institute of Agri-Food Biotechnology and Premier Management Institute.

This decision was taken at the last meeting of the Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.

Jaipur, Feb 26 (UNI) Minimum temperatures in Rajasthan continue to remain below normal and are accompanied with cold winds, making the weather pleasant and cool. According to Met office, no rains have been recorded over the past 24 hours in the state. The state capital recorded a high of 26 degree Celsius while the minimum was 12 degree.
