Mr Soren's counsel appealed that his client be shifted to RIMS. Public Prosecutor Anil Mahto contended that the reason behind shifting him to RIMS was not clear as earlier medical reports recommended rest for the incarcerated JMM leader. The court sought details mentioning whether treatment of Mr Soren was possible in Dumka and fixed March 15 as the next date for hearing.
It was recommended to send him to RIMS for the tests as the district lacked the required equipment for such examinations, Dr Hembrom said.
Soren had failed to appear before the Jamtara, Dumka and Giridih courts relating to various cases in the past few weeks after citing ill health.
He was shifted to Dumka jail amid controversy after a Jamtara court ordered to put him at Jamtara jail only.
Last month he could not appear in the court because of swelling in his legs besides other ailments.
