NBW against Ravi Shankaran in Navy War Room leak case

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) A local court here has issued non-bailable warrants against Navy War Room leak accused and retired Naval Chief Admiral Sushil Kumar's nephew Ravi Shankaran to facilitate his extradition.

The CBI which is seeking his extradition from the United Kingdom, where he is reported to have fled, would benefit from the ruling of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Seema Maini.

The CMM also asked the CBI to present before it, on March 17, the steps it had taken for the extradition of the accused.

Earlier, the investigation agency had tried to get Ravi Shankaran declared a 'proclaimed offender'.

The CBI was handed over the case early last year for initiating criminal proceedings against those involved in the leak.

Retired Navy officers Ravi Shakaran, Kulbhushan Parashar and businessman Abhisek Verma were among those allegedly involved in the Naval War Room leak case.
