Nagarjuna Constt to raise $ 180mln

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd today said it will raise 180 million dollars by issue of equity-linked instruments.

The company has recieved its members approval for raising of the funds by issue of equity shares to Qualified Institutional Buyers, Global Depository Reciepts (GDRs), Foreign Currency Convertible Securities (FCCBs) and other permitted Securities.

The members have also accorded their approval to increase the investment limit by FIIs in the shares of the company to 74 per cent from 49 per cent.

The authorised capital of the company will also be raised to Rs 60 crore from Rs 50 crore.

Allahabad Bank opens first Overseas branch in Hong Kong

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Foraying into the outside market, Allahabad Bank, country's oldest joint stock bank, today announced it has opened its first overseas branch in Hong Kong. The bank opened a branch at the Lippo Centre to serve retail and corporate clients. Steel industry welcomes the 2007-08 proposed Railway budget

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) The steel industry has welcomed the new initiative of cutting freight tariff on iron ore announced by the Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in his Railway budget for 2007-08. Nath supports Nepal's export to India

Kathmandu, Feb 26 (UNI) Commerce Minister Kamal Nath today said the Indian Government is ready to extend all support to increase Nepal's export to India. Mr Nath, who is in Kathmandu to participate in the South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA) Ministerial Council meet said the export from Nepal to India had increased significantly since 1996 and the trade treaty between the two countries would also help expand the bi-lateral trade.
