Superfast surcharge levied on second class tickets for superfast trains to be reduced by 20 per cent.

Railways annual plan for 2007-08 fixed at rs 31,000 crores.

New Delhi, Feb 26: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav tables Railway Budget for the year 2007-08 amid disruption of the proceedings by the NDA over the Bofors issue in the Parliament.
Indian Railways expects Rs 20,000 cr profit in 2006-07.
Passengers traffic up 14 pc in 9 months of FY07
Freight earnings up 17 pc in 9 months.
