J and K police arrest youth posing as militant

Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a youth who was indulging in extortion by posing as militant in north Kashmir.

Complaints were being received by police that some gunmen were looting people in Bandipora area of north Kashmir, a police spokesman said.

A police party headed by sub-inspector Bashir Ahmad laid a trap at village Gujjar Pati, Argam early this morning, he said.

A youth Zulfideen Chichi holding toy gun, was arrested when he tried to molest a girl after threatening the people present there, the spokesman added.

Jaish commander, 2 LeT militants killed one injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) Three militants, including a commander, of Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) were killed and one person was injured in the Kashmir valley today. Official sources said Jammu and Kashmir police and Rashitriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Gujjar Patti,Sogam in the frontier district of Kupwara early this morning following information that some militants were hiding there. Congress hails Railway budget as "common man's budget"
