HoPF bags Rs 30cr orders from US

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Apparel firm House of Pearl Fashions (HoPF) today said it has secured orders worth Rs 30 crore from buyers in the US, including JC Penney, H&M, GAAP and KOHLS.

The company said this is a substantial growth over the last financial year, as these orders are equal to the entire year of sales for this division.

With these new orders, the newly acquired manufacturing facility at Khandsa, is completely booked for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, it stated in a statement.

Police officer gunned down

Bihar Shariff, Feb 20 (UNI) Criminals shot dead a police sub-inspector Shiv Ram posted in Rahui police station of Nalanda district late Monday night. District Police Superintendent Amit Kumar said criminals attacked the police officer riding a two wheeler while he was returning from Bhaganbigha to his workplace. Patna HC directs Govt to monitor missing children's cases

Patna, Feb 20 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed Bihar government to constitute a committee headed by the Inspector General (CID) to monitor the investigation into cases of more than 200 missing children across the state. While hearing a PIL petition, a division bench comprising Chief Justice J N Bhatt and Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad also directed the government to constitute state child rights commission and apprise the court of compliance on April second, 2005. Two govt employees arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Feb 20 (UNI) Sleuths of state vigilance bureau today arrested a clerk and a block agriculture officer for accepting bribe in Patna and Nalanda respectively. Additional director general of state vigilance bureau Neelmani said the clerk, Deenesh Kumar, of district education superintendent office of Patna was arrested when he was taking Rs 10,000 from one Ajay Kumar against appointment on compassionate ground. In another case, block agriculture officer Deenesh Prasad Mandal was caught while accepting Rs 1000 from a farmer.....
