Driver of Indica car caught, being questioned

Gurgaon, Haryana, Feb 26 (UNI) Police today caught the driver of the Indica car, which allegedly ferried the two girls from a restaurant here to the airport from where they were flown to the United States.

Shishpal (28), who was arrested today, told the police that he had been hired and asked to take the girls to the airport by the man who 'picked' the girls from an upscale market here yesterday evening.

The two girls, Ayesha Aditi (8) and Jaun Ruchi (20), reportedly willinly went with the man from 'Pizza Hut', in City Centre Shopping Mall, at about 1730 hrs to a waiting car and then to the IGI Airport.

Police said it was nothing like a kidnapping case and it was a 'family affair'.

As both the parents of the children were not on good terms the problem had cropped up.

However, a case has been registered and investigation on, police added.

Sex racket at 'Yoga centre'

Ujjain, MP, Feb 26 (UNI) An Ayurvedic physician and a woman were among three persons arrested on the charge of running a sex racket at a 'Yoga centre' in this ancient temple town. City superintendent of Police Anjana Tiwari said a police raid took place last evening at Freegunj. The physician was identified as Dr Natwarlal alias Bhurelal who also managed a hospital. UNI.....

Vijayawada, Feb 27 (UNI) The 'Neeti Meetarla Vyathireka Aikya Porata Committee', a forum spearheading the agitation against installation of water meters for domestic tap connections in the city, has organised a padayatra here today. Leaders of the political parties TDP, CPI, CPI(M) and women and freedom fighters who participated in the padayatra said there was a strong resentment among the people against the installation of water meters. 'Ashtadhatu' idols stolen

Pratapgarh, Feb 26 (UNI) Unidentified burglars decamped with ancient 'ashtadhatu' idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Laksman here late last night, police today said. The incident took place in Kilhanapur village under Hathgavan police station area, where the idols worth several lakhs of rupees were found missing. An FIR had been lodged and a manhunt was on to nab the accused. UNI.....
