Depositors of Margadarshi stage dharna against Govt's action

Tirupati, Feb 26 (UNI) Hundreds of depositers staged a dharna in front of the Revenue Divisional Office (RDO) here today protesting against the Andhra Pradesh government's alleged steps to destabilise Margadarsi Financers.

Holding placards and raising slogans against the government demanding stoppage of search operations on Margadarsi Financiers, they took out a procession from the Tilak Road office of Margadarsi to the RDO's office and submitted a memorandum to RDO Babaiah.

Later, talking to reporters, they said 'we have absolute faith on the bonafides of Margadarsi Financiers.' UNI

Panic grips hospital following a bomb scare

Karnal, Feb 22 (UNI) Panic gripped the civil hospital here today following information that a bomb has been planted in the hospital premises. Superintendent of Police Shibas Kaviraj said a letter to this effect was found pasted on the wall of the ramp leading to Gynaecology Ward of the hospital. Police immediately cordoned off the hospital and started a search with help of sniffer dogs to find the bomb. The search was still continuing. A bomb disposal squad has been also.....

Bus overturns, 15 hurt seriously

Kancheepuram, Feb 26 (UNI) A state-owned bus crashed into a barricade and overturned seriously, injuring 15 passengers, including seven women, at Madurantakam in the district early today. Police said the bus was proceeding to Tiruchirapalli from Chennai when the mishap occurred near the Madurantakam Bus Depot. The injured were shifted to the government hospital at Chengalpattu. Fake degree racket busted

Chandigarh, Feb 22 (UNI) The Haryana police has busted a gang involved in preparing fake degrees and certificates in Gurgaon. A police spokesman said a number of fake certificates and degress pertaining to 10th, 10+2 and BA were recovered during a raid in Gurgaon. During the raid, police arrested one Rajesh Yadav who revealed that they were getting fake certificates and degrees from one Mukesh Fouji of Mathura by paying him Rs 2000 per customer.
