Superintendent of Police Munish Kabirkar told UNI that Suresh Dhole, Vijay Kumar Hattarki, Devendra Hosmani and Sharnu who were admitted to the Government General hospital have recovered and their condition is fine now.

''We are awaiting for medical report. As soon as we receive the report, we would take further action against the four.'' Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey told UNI that the President did not enquire about the incident.

The four youths, who had passed out from Industrial Training Centre (ITC) run by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) attempted to commit suicide yesterday, demanding 33 per cent job reservation in the recruitment in KPTCL.

The All India Student Federation (AISF) pointed out that the previous Dharam Singh led coalition government had provided 33 per cent job reservation to the ITC students. However, it was removed by the present JD(S)-BJP coalition government.
