Congolese Defence Minister Calls on Antony

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) In yet another assertion of India's emerging excellence in defence, Congo today showed keen interest in bilateral cooperation in this field.

Visiting Congolese Defence Minister Jacques Yvon Ndolou evinced this interest when he called on his host and Indian counterpart AK Antony here.

Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, said an official spokesperson later.

Chief of Army Staff General JJ Singh also called on the visiting dignitary.

The Defence Minister of Congo arrived here yesterday on a week-long official visit which would take him also to Agra and Mumbai.

Coast Guard all geared-up to meet Pakistani challenge: Commander

Porbandar, Feb 27 (UNI) The Coast Guard is gearing up its patrolling operations along the Indo-Pak maritime border to counter challenges of infiltration and arms transfer. The maritime force is keen to upgrade its fleet and install better radars for more effective monitoring, said Gujarat Coast Guard Commander G P Raj.
