Agumbe records 7.7 degree celsius lowest temperature

Bangalore, Feb 26 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded here at 0830 hours today.

Dry weather prevailed over the State. Minimum temperatures rose at many places over Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at most places over North Interior Karnataka; below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka.

Agumbe recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7.7 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning : Dry weather may prevail over the State.

Farmers forecast : Dry weather may prevail over all the districts of the State.

Local forecast for Bangalore city : Mainly clear sky. Minimum temperature would be around 18 degree Celsius.

Japanese Govt to provide grants to 4 NGOs in South India

Chennai, Feb 21 (UNI) Japan has offered to provide a total grant of 3.35 lakh US dollars to four Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in South India for their project to uplift the lives of the disadvantaged.
