16 injured in minibus accident

Jammu, Feb 26 (UNI) At least 16 people were injured in a minibus accident near Doda here today, police sources said.

A minibus, going to Bhagwah from Doda skidded off the road while negotiating a turn at Golbagh, 10 Kms from Doda and fell into a deep gorge, the sources said.

All the passengers were state government employees and were going to their respective offices, they said.

The injured, including driver and cleaner, were immediately shifted to the district hospital, Doda.

Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) Two persons were killed and three others wounded in different accidents in the Kashmir valley today, a police spokesman said. He said a speeding tipper hit pedestrian Abdul Rashid Ganie at Chooru, Sopore, about 50 km from here in Baramulla district today.
