Tata Steel wins Amity Corporate Excellence Award

New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) Tata Steel has bagged an award for corporate excellence from Amity International Business School.

The award is based on the results of a research conducted by an expert panel consisting of academicians and management students from Amity Business school.

The panel analysed 200 companies across different sectors.

The factors taken into consideration were years of existence of the companies in India, employees strengths, gross revenue, market capitalisation, net fixed assets, key initiatives taken by the organisation and social responsibilities.

The award is given to corporates, who excelled in their respective domains and have outshined other companies because of their distinct vision, innovation, competitiveness and sustenance.

Sanwaria Agro to buy 2 solvent extraction units in MP

New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) Sanwaria Agro Oils Ltd (SAOL), country's leading soyabean processors and refined oil maker, plans to acquire two solvent extraction plants in Madhya Pradesh. It is also in the process of entering into an agreement with an overseas company for marketing its branded and non-branded products in that country. Police officer arrested on rape charge

Kishanganj, Mar 11 (UNI) In a startling development, controversial and suspended Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dighalbank police station Faiyaz Alam was arrested on the charges of alleged rape and bribery after he was badly mauled and thrashed by an irate mob. According to police sources, the OC, who was found closeted with a 23-year old divorcee in a house at Faldawal village under Dighalbank police station, was accosted by irate villagers. He was allegedly man-handled and severely beaten up by the mob.....

Air Deccan to start flights between Shimla, Delhi from April

Shimla, Feb 25 (UNI) Air Deccan will start regular flights between Shimla and Delhi from April onwards, for promoting tourism in the hilly state and providing better air connectivity between the two important places, official sources said.
