KHS Machinery's of German set up its production base in India

Ahmedabad, Feb 25 (UNI) Multinational KHS AG of German, a filling and packaging equipment company, has expanded its operation in India and set up a new facility here with an investment of Rs 40 crore.

The company had been operating in India for the past ten years and raised its equity in the KHS Machinery Pvt Limited from 60 percent to 89 percent while the remaining 11 percent will be held by its partner Mamata group of companies.

''We planned to invest another Rs 60 crore in the production facility in next three to four years'' Mr Valentin Reisgen, CEO of the German company told mediapersons here.

The new unit will be inauguarated by the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi tommorrow.

Mr Reisgen said the company has decided to set up a new unit in view of the growing market. The company has Rs 100 crore turnover, which is expected to rise to Rs 300 crore, he added.

The CEO said this will be the second manufacturing facility in Asia. The German company is already operating in China and has its production facility in Brazil, USA, Mexico, besides eight production units in German.

The KHS has 60 sales and service bases in all continents, the CEO said.

The new productin facility has been set in Vatva Industrial area of Ahmedabad in an area of 25,000 sq meter. The company will also export machinery from the Gujarat plant.

Sensex opens firm at 13,684 pts

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex) today resumed on a firm note of 13,684.95 points compared with the previous day's close of 13,632.53 points on expectations of liberal Union Railway and General Budgets, along with fresh bull support, by Foreign Insitutional Investors (FIIs) and Mutual funds, brokers said. A bout of early volatility gripped the bourses and the Sensex slipped into the red soon after a firm opening. However, the benchmark index again recovered.....

Transwarranty Finance debuts with 15 per cent premium

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Financial services and investment banking company, Transwarranty Finance, today debuted with 15.38 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 52 per share. The IPO was issued to raise funds for expansion and increasing the scale of operations, geographic expansion through opening of regional offices, making strategic investments or acquisitions of companies engaged in the business of financial services and banking, an official release said. Raj Television Network IPO subscribed by 3.04 times

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Media company Raj Television Network has received encouraging response from investors who have subscribed fully to its issue by 3.04 times. The issue received more than 1.08 crore bids, 77.36 lakh bids at cut-off price, brokers said. According to the subscription details of the regional broadcaster, their issue was subscribed by Qualified institutional buyers by 0.39 times, Non-institutional investors by 4.00, Retail individual investors by 6.92, while Employee Reservation was 1.28, taking the total to 3.04.
