International Guwahati Trade Fair from tomorrow

Guwahati, Feb 25 (UNI) The 14th International Guwahati Trade Fair (IGTF), lone such mega event in the North East, will have Indonesia as the partner country this year, with former participants Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and Egypt also likely to join it.

The trade fair would be held from February 26 to March 9, with a total of eight countries, besides participants from across the country, and 400 stalls set up to draw the crowds.

Informing this at a press meet here today, Mr Rajesh Das of the Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam, main organisers of the IGTF, said, ''Entrepreneurs from all parts of the country as well as foreign nations will be given special focus in the trade fair.'' Indonesia would be participating in a trade exposition in Eastern India for the first time, he said, adding that a 40-member business delegation from Myanmar would also visit the IGTF.

''The trade fair will provide a platform for investors, producers and customers to offer a common forum over an extended period of time and mutual benefits would be reaped,'' Mr Das added.

He informed that from this year, the IGTF would also promote a state and a district of Asom, with the first honours going to neighbouring Meghalaya and Golaghat district of Asom.

He said, ''Selected entrepreneurs from these two places would be given free space and special interactive sessions with visiting foreign companies would be arranged for them.'' UNI

Transwarranty Finance debuts with 15 per cent premium

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Financial services and investment banking company, Transwarranty Finance, today debuted with 15.38 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 52 per share. The IPO was issued to raise funds for expansion and increasing the scale of operations, geographic expansion through opening of regional offices, making strategic investments or acquisitions of companies engaged in the business of financial services and banking, an official release said. Raj Television Network IPO subscribed by 3.04 times

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Media company Raj Television Network has received encouraging response from investors who have subscribed fully to its issue by 3.04 times. The issue received more than 1.08 crore bids, 77.36 lakh bids at cut-off price, brokers said. According to the subscription details of the regional broadcaster, their issue was subscribed by Qualified institutional buyers by 0.39 times, Non-institutional investors by 4.00, Retail individual investors by 6.92, while Employee Reservation was 1.28, taking the total to 3.04. Copper and nickel rises on good industrial demand

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Copper and nickel rose on good industrial demand as the London Metal Exchange also edged up, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today. In the ferrous category, copper utensil, copper heavy and brass cutting was up by Rs 1000, Rs 600 and Rs 500 per quintal respectively on better buying support. Brass utensil also shot up by Rs 300 per quintal on lesser stock supply. In the non-ferrous category, Copper wire bar and lead ingot edged.....
