Inter-state dacoity gang busted, seven arrested

Jaipur, Feb 25 (UNI) Rajasthan police have solved the daylight dacoity in the offices of two courier companies in the city recently with the arrest of seven members of an inter-state gang from Mumbai.

Inspector General Police (Jaipur Range I) O P Gelhotra said the gang used to identify and loot the courier companies engaged in hawala transactions.

The dacoity in A K Courier company office at Manak Chouk on January 18 and on M Manoj Kumar Courier located at Mishrarajaji on February 2 this year were executed by the same gang, he said. The courier companies were looted of Rs 18 and 14 lakh respectively in broad daylight after keeping the employees captives.

The police had recovered the car used for the dacoity and arrested seven members of the gang, he added.

Nagpur, Feb 26 (UNI) The police have booked a BJP MLA Uttam Ingle for allegedly assaulting an official of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) in Yavatmal district in Maharashtra over the action initiated against a consumer for power theft.
