Bomb blast in Mizoram minister's farm house

Aizawl, Feb 25 (UNI) A few unidentified miscreants had lobbed a bomb on the residence of state health minister R Tlanghimgthanga at Sakawrtuichhun, near here, yesterday, Mizoram police said today.

The blast had caused panic in the nearby localities and power supply was disrupted as a transformer carrying 11 KV line was damaged extensively, police said.

The police had cordoned off the entire area and an operation was launched to nab the miscreants.

Police here today said K H Manorama of Khongman in Imphal East was abducted by some miscreants on last Wednesday and later the abductors called her family members informing that the condition of the woman was deteriorating. Police today said the deceased was axed to death in Dhevo village during a family dispute besides two others were injured including son of the victim. CBI to seek Ravi Shankaran's extradition in Navy War Room leak cas

New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) The CBI is seeking extradition of Navy War Room leak accused and retired Naval Chief Admiral Sushil Kumar's nephew Ravi Shankaran after it was convinced that he had fled the country. An appeal to get him extradited from the United Kingdom, where he is expected to have fled, would soon be made in the court of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate here, according to CBI sources. Earlier, the investigation agency had issued 'non-bailable warrants' against Ravi Shankaran.....

Over 28 cows recovered, 4 held

Siddharthnagar, Feb 25 (UNI) Over 28 cows were seized with the arrest of four miscreants here late last night, police today said. Acting on a tip-off, a police team reached the Mehndupar square under Dharmsinghwa police station area and seized over 28 cows, including five dead ones, when they were being carried to a slaughter house. Two people arrested for possessing counterfeit currency

Jabalpur, Feb 25 (UNI) Two people were arrested and Rs 100 in counterfeit currency seized from them, police said today. Jamal Kalam and Ramesh Vishwakarma were found roaming in suspicious condition near Sharda cinema house in Gorakhpur Bazar area last night. Police seized counterfeit Rs 100 notes upon searching them.
